Tourism and its promotion. Comparison between different strategies of South Bohemia and Upper Austria

Annotation: This work attends to two neighbouring regions {--} South Bohemia and Upper Austria {--} especially in light of tourist trade. It compares both regions as for their area, number of inhabitants, economical structure, tourist visit rate during passed years and their potential for development of tourism. Another part of the text contains a short list of the most interesting and of the most visited tourist targets of South Bohemia and Upper Austria. The second part of this work devotes to the latest trends in tourism, further to management and marketing of a tourist destination. There was as well the marketing-mix applied for tourist trade and main forms of promotion in tourism mentioned. The closing of my work contains an analysis of weaknesses and strong points ob both regions and brings suggestions moves for improvement of the present state {--} especially in the field of internet-presentation. One of the other improvement suggestions is for example creation of new tourist products or support of the cooperation between both regions. These suggestions are described in the last two separate subchapters.
South Bohemian sacral architecture of the late Gothic 1450 - 1550 in the Rosenberg domain

South Bohemian sacral architecture of the late Gothic1450 - 1550 in the Rosenberg domain Mgr. Roman Lavička A group of late-Gothic churches, which keeps attracting our attention, was built in the Rosenberg domain during the reign of the Jagiellon dynasty. Limited archival material, results of dendrochronologic analyses and preserved buildings suggest that it was mainly building maintenance that was in progress in the Rosenberg domain in the second half of the 15th century. In the early 1480s the building of the new pilgrimage church in Kájov (1471/1474- 1485) was coming to its end. And it was only then that big town parish churches in Trhové Sviny, Dolní Dvořiště, Hořice na Šumavě, Chvalšiny and Nové Hrady started being rebuild or constructed anew almost simultaneously. Around 1485 almost twenty religious buildings were being built in the Rosenberg domain. They reflect the increasing economic prosperity and self-confidence of the town and village municipalities, corporations as well as individuals manifesting their wealth, success and strength. From a formal and ideological point of view it is possible to trace down a group of related buildings directly in this initial phase. Tourism development in South Bohemia and Upper Austria

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is a tourism development in South Bohemia and Upper Austria as destination. The development of tourism is important for populations in these regions. The main target is improving standards of living for populations in these areas as tourism reduces unemployment and increases revenue. Another aim of this work is to identify structures that deal with the tourism development and cooperation between these regions. This work also shows results of these structures and evaluate the benefits of the cooperation. Information was takes directly in the particular organizations through in-depth interviews. This thesis suggests how to improve tourism in these areas and gives specific proposals for tourism development.

The main aim of this diploma thesis called Sustainable Tourism in South Bohemia Region and Upper Austria was to analyse the current supply and demand for the services of sustainable tourism in South Bohemia Region and Upper Austria. Another aim dealt with the analysis of organizations supporting sustainable tourism in both regions.

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of tourism in the border area of Austria and the Czech Republic. The author focuses mainly on Linguistic Landscape in the South Bohemian Region and Upper Austria. The theoretical part defines the theory of this sociolinguistic discipline, the development of the border areas or the border cooperation and the characteristics of the South Bohemian Region and Upper Austria. In the practical part, multilingual boards and signs, which occur in close proximity to the border are analysed and divided on the basis of their occurrence in particular areas.
Memory institutions of South Bohemia, Upper Austria and Lower Bavaria and Czech-German relations in years 19902013

This bachelor thesis deals with memory institutions of South Bohemia, Upper Austria and Lower Bavaria. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to chart and subsequently compare chosen temporary expositions, which were realised in years 19902013 and with their projects characterized the issue of Czech-German coexistence. The following analysis of the sources and literature will lead to name the key topics of Czech-German relations, which pay attention to the memory institutions. Further it will lead to characterize their changes in the monitored period and also to the evaluation their influence during the construction of the common collective memory.
